Made in America

Newberry Knitting has manufactured gloves and mittens in the USA since 1946.

Built to Last

Rag-wool blends and genuine deerskin feature in selected gloves, with materials chosen for everyday wear.

Timeless Design

Practical cold-weather goods, made for the days you reach for them most.

“We don't make goods to sell. We make goods that last. If you do that well enough, the selling takes care of itself.”
— The Newberry Family

The Goods

Made for Everyday Wear

Berniece and Fred left their jobs at a Schenectady glove maker to start Newberry Knitting. The factory was built on their former farmland, and the family continued making gloves and mittens there.

The composition varies by style: some rag-wool gloves use an 85% wool, 15% nylon yarn, while other gloves and mittens use different blends. Selected styles feature genuine deerskin palms or patches. Check each product's details for its specific materials.

In its 80th year, Newberry USA looks ahead to more American-made goods, while keeping gloves at the heart of its story.
